Scholarship Description

ECU togaether with the Cancer Council Western Australia aims to minimise the effect of cancer on our community through advocacy, research, education and by providing people affected by cancer with support to enhance their quality of life. A key objective of the Cancer Council is to encourage and support a wide range of research activities into the causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer and leukaemia. Applications are being sought for two PhD Top Up Scholarships of to be held in conjunction with an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or equivalent. The purpose is to encourage talented, highly ranked PhD students to develop and advance cancer-related research skills. Research projects can be in the fields of laboratory, clinical, epidemiological, psychosocial and/or behavioural science.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD12000 (total may vary). This award is to be used for living expenses and travel. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Masters or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or permanent residents can apply.
